In 1993, at the height of the AIDS plague and in the early days of the Clinton administration, activist-playwright Larry Kramer and NIAID-director Anthony Fauci participated in a live call-in program on C-SPAN. This piece stages a verbatim transcript of that broadcast, exploring the equally combative and loving relationship between these two figures, and their radically different strategies to ending the plague.
